Right from the beginning of the school year, the school has proactively integrated the content of Geoparks into the main subjects, local lessons and extracurricular activities on the topics of history, culture, chemistry, geology, environment at heritage sites in the Geopark region. Lessons are designed with diverse content, closely linked to local practices, helping the students access knowledge in an intuitive, vivid and close way.
Typical in the series of activities integrating the content of the Geopark are the Vietnamese practice lesson "Using non-verbal means" and the writing lesson "Writing regulations and instructions" in the program of Grade 10 Literature. Through the lesson content, students are not only equipped with language skills but also have the opportunity to learn about the experience routes and heritage sites in the Geopark region. In particular, the students of 4 classes in Grade 10 were divided into groups, practiced drawing maps to guide the Geopark heritage tour routes and presented their products.
Through practical lessons, students not only actively acquire knowledge but also become “young communicators”, contributing to spreading the heritage value of Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark to their families and communities. The products they created such as: instruction maps, presentations, articles, etc. are clear evidence of the effectiveness of innovative teaching methods, linking theory with local practice, helping students raise awareness of the importance of preserving the cultural and natural values of their homeland.
The close coordination between the school and the Management Board of Non Nuoc Cao Bang in enhancing heritage education activities opens up many opportunities to implement educational programs on a larger scale and in a more systematic manner. This is also an important step in contributing to the implementation of the goal of sustainable development and the preservation of the unique cultural and natural values of Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark.
