According to the schedule, the working group reviewed the infrastructure system, investigated the panel system, parking areas, environmental sanitation, and landscapes at the Geopark sites. They also provided promotional materials to partners in the districts of Hoa An, Ha Quang, Nguyen Binh, Thach An, Quang Hoa, and Trung Khanh.
As part of the schedule, the team met with the Geopark partners to assess their compliance with UNESCO’s recommended criteria towards Geopark partners and gather their feedback on improving service quality and visitor experiences. Based on these findings, a report will be compiled in collaboration with the People's Committees of relevant districts to assess the current situation and propose solutions to enhance infrastructure and environmental landscapes along the four Geopark routes, to prepare for the upcoming revalidation mission by UNESCO experts in 2025.
Regular field inspection and evaluation play a vital role in preserving and promoting the value of the heritage, while also ensuring and enhancing the quality of infrastructure and the Geopark partner activities. It helps promptly identify and address challenges and shortcomings, and promotes sustainable, equitable tourism development that benefits local communities.
In the coming time, the Management Board of Non nuoc Cao Bang Geopark will continue to organize training programs to raise awareness and strengthen community responsibility in heritage conservation, landscape and environmental protection at heritage sites and traditional craft villages. These activities contribute to effectively tapping into local potential and promoting green and sustainable tourism development within Non nuoc Cao Bang Geopark.
