Inauguration of the “ Hoa An Geopraphical and Historical Mural ” Project
Attending the inauguration ceremony were representatives from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; former leaders of Hoa An District from different periods; members of the Fine Arts Branch of the Cao Bang Provincial Literature and Arts Association; and researchers in folk culture.
Identifying the development of Nuoc Hai Town into a central urban area for politics, economy, and culture as one of the two key tasks for the 2020–2025 term, the Hoa An District Party Committee has placed strong emphasis on urban revitalization in connection with cultural development. Among these efforts, the mural project was chosen as a highlight to create a meaningful community space that both educates about historical traditions and promotes the image of the locality.
Delegates cut the ribbon to inaugurate the "Hoa An Geographical and Historical Mural" Project.
Measuring 155 meters in length and 2.5 meters in height, the mural vividly depicts the historical and cultural journey of Hoa An—from the legend of Pu Luong – Slao Cai and King Thuc Phan An Duong Vuong, through the feudal periods, to revolutionary milestones associated with President Ho Chi Minh, General Vo Nguyen Giap, and other pioneering leaders. It also highlights Hoa An as the birthplace of the first Party cell in Cao Bang Province, showcases traditional customs and festivals, and celebrates the district’s achievements during the renewal (Doi Moi) period.
In particular, the project was carried out by 34 artists - art teachers who are teaching at schools in the district. After 50 days of construction, regardless of the sun or rain, the project was completed with funding from socialized budget sources - a heart of gratitude and contribution of people from Hoa An who live all over the country.
The project "Hoa An Geographical and Historical Mural" not only enhances the urban landscape and serves as an attractive highlight for visitors, but also stands as a cultural project of lasting value in traditional education. It is a source of pride for the people of all ethnic groups in the district, reflecting the heroic history of this revolutionary homeland.
On this occasion, the Hoa An District People's Committee awarded commendations to 2 collectives and 14 individuals for their outstanding contributions to the implementation of the mural project.
