The biodiversity information signage system is designed to be environmentally friendly, consisting of information boards measuring 20x29 cm with integrated QR codes. These boards are placed in convenient locations such as near stone benches, walking paths, and scenic viewpoints at various heritage sites, including: the Special National Historic Site of Tran Hung Dao Forest (Nguyen Binh District); the Special National Historic Site of Pac Bo (Ha Quang District); the Mountain God’s Eye area (Quoc Toan Commune, Quang Hoa District; Cao Chuong Commune, Trung Khanh District); and the Magic Stone (Quang Hoa District).
The information boards highlight key features of the forest ecosystem, introduce several endangered, rare, and valuable medicinal plant species, and showcase various native bird species recorded in the area. This allows visitors and local residents to easily access basic knowledge about the region’s rich biological resources. The signage system not only serves as an innovative communication tool but also acts as an effective means of community education, helping to raise awareness about the importance of environmental and biodiversity protection while enhancing the quality of the destination and visitor experience.
The installation of the information signage system was implemented to enhance the effectiveness of management, protection, and communication efforts regarding biodiversity values at the local level. In addition to providing knowledge, the information boards also serve as an important source of scientific data to support the assessment of ecosystem status and to propose appropriate conservation solutions. This initiative helps raise community awareness about environmental protection and demonstrates Cao Bang Province’s strong commitment to preserving and promoting geological and biological heritage values, towards the sustainable development of ecotourism in line with the orientation of the UNESCO Global Geoparks Network.
