Currently, subcommittees are building detailed logistical preparations for each task of the symposium such as: operating the delegate registration portal to attend the Symposium with the address https://www.apgn2024.vn/vi. Establish assisting groups and coordination groups to implement Symposium activities; build a team of collaborators, volunteers, and conference service forces; organize training for volunteer students, English teachers, drivers, restaurants, hotels, and accommodation facilities; organize inspection and review of conference preparation work; transportation of delegates and student volunteers before and during the symposium; decor meeting rooms and halls to serve events and sessions; exhibition beautiful photos of Cao Bang tourism and UNESCO Non Nuoc Cao Bang Global Geopark; displaying exhibition booths promoting the Geopark and OCOP products; special art performance program; activities on the Symposium sidelines…
At the meeting, members of two subcommittees exchanged, discussed, and contributed opinions on developing detailed plans to prepare the Symposium content, highlight the key tasks of the “Cao Bang Declaration” to create widespread influence among domestic and international delegates; build a special art performance program; promote event communication on domestic press agencies and social networks; redecorate the city, build an impressive image and several check-in places with Cao Bang unique cultural identity; training for hotels and accommodation facilities on reception, security, thoughtful and safety in transporting delegates…
Concluding the meeting, Sam Viet An - Director of the Department of Culture, Sport and Tourism emphasized: This is a significant cultural and political event to promote traditional culture, tourism, and Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark… to domestic and international friends. Recommend the subcommittees closely follow deployment tasks as planned, ensuring thoughtful, safe, civilized service all activities of the Symposium demonstrate a rich and unique culture, spreading the impression, that Cao Bang is an attractive destination for geopark, indigenous tourism, unique characteristics, friendly to domestic and international friends.
The symposium is expected to take place from September 12 to 15, 2024 on an international scale chaired by the Provincial People’s Committee and co-chaired by the Vietnam National Committee for UNESCO and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. International and domestic delegates are about 800 - 1000 people; over 90 geoparks in the UNESCO Global Geopark Network participated.
