At the handover meeting, the Archive Information Center and Geological Museum handed over to the Geopark Management Board 300 geological specimens across the province belonging to Bac Son, Dong Dang, Mia Le, Song Cau, and Song Hien formations… Accompanying the geological specimens is an explanation of the report and a general map showing locations of the geological and mineral specimens; analysis results sheet,... these specimens belong to the project “Comprehensive investigation of minerals and completion of geological map at scale 1/50.000 of the Northwest area to serve sustainable socio-economic development planning” conducted by the Vietnam General Department of Geology and Minerals and the Geological Museum.
This is a valuable artifact source to serve research, study, propaganda, education, and introduction about the UNESCO Non Nuoc Cao Bang Global Geopark. After being handed over, the specimens will be displayed at the Geopark Information Center and Information Display Corners about Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark at some schools in the Cao Bang province area.
