Non nuoc Cao Bang Geopark’s Partner Network responds to the World Cleanup Day 2023

Following the training program, the members of Geopark’s Partner Network were involved in a field survey, learning and exchanging practical experiences in onsite waste classification and treatment, models of environmentally friendly sustainable tourism development towards green growth among tourist service providers in Non nuoc Cao Bang Geopark’s Partner Network. For example: surveying and exchanging experiences in onsite waste classification and using probiotics for organic waste treatment in Phuong Tay Homestay – Khuoi Ky village , Dam Thuy Commune (Trung Khanh District); surveying at Lan’s homestay (Trung Khanh District); surveying organic vegetable gardening for experiential tourism and clean raw ingredients for catering services and medicinal orchid garden at Nasan Green Farm (in Chi Vien commune, Trung Khanh District) and other establishments.

Management Board of Non nuoc Cao Bang Geopark in troduced about the World Cleanup Day: activities organized around the world, in Viet Nam and by the Gepark Management Board in respond to this movement; activity plan for 2023 of the Geopark Management Board; orientated activities for the Geopark’s Partners Network to celebrate the World Cleanup Day next years, activities on environmental protection, environmentally friendly tourism and products, etc.

After the Management Board of Non nuoc Cao Bang Geopark’s presentation, the members of the Geopark’s Partner Network shared their experiences and good practices in communicating and mobilizing the local people to participate in environmental activities in recent times, contributing to missions in effective respond to “the World Cleanup Day” 2023 and environmental protection in the coming time.  

This capacity building activity aims at enhancing capacity of environmental protection for the Geopark’s Partner Network, encouraging participatory activities for environment, towards green ans circular economy and sustainable development; at the same time realizing UNESCO’s objectives regarding climate change adaptation; celebration of the World Cleanup Day 2023 under the slogan “Join hands for a cleaner world” through conducting field survey and exchanging practical experience in onsite waste sorting and treatment and tourism development in association with environmental protection towards green values among the members of Non nuoc Cao Bang Geopark’s Partner Network who are tourist service providers.
