Extracurricular activities organized to promote Non nuoc Cao Bang Unesco Global Geopark in high schools in Cao Bang city

On December 7th, December 14th and December 21st, 2020, education activities related to Non nuoc Cao Bang UGGp were organized at school weekly assembly at Cao Bang City High school, Cao Bang Ethnic Minority boarding school, and Cao Bang High school for gifted students respectively.

On December 10th 2020, Vietnam National Institute of Agricultural Planning and Projection, Ministry of Agriculture & Rural Development and Cao Bang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism jointly organized a scientific seminar to introduce the national level research project: “Researching and proposing solutions for sustainable tourism development in Cao Bang in association with Non nuoc Cao Bang UGGp”.

Decentralization of the management of promotional pannels in Non nuoc Cao Bang UGGp

From May, 25th, 2020 – June, 2nd, 2020, Department of Culture, Sport and Tourism cooperated with the People’s committees of Cao Bang city and dictricts in the Geopark area to conduct a field mission for the inventory and handover of the information pannels at the heritage sites to local authorities and communities to improve the management and promotion of heritage sites in Non nuoc Cao Bang geopark.

On July 16th 2020 , UNESCO Global geopark Network held a Welcome Digital Event for designation and celebrated the nomination of 15 New UNESCO Global Geoparks.

Dak Nong Geopark was designated as Unesco Global Geopark

On July 10th 2020, Paris, France, The GGN Executive Board in collaboration with UNESCO Earth Science and Geo-hazard Risk Reduction Section officially approved the resolution recognizing Dak Nong geopark as a UNESCO global geopark.

The workshop on sustainable tourism development

On 14th May2020, Non nuoc Cao Bang geopark management board, Culture, Sport and Tourism Department of Cao Bang province cooperated with the VIE036 project (which supported by Luxembourg Agency for Development cooperation) organized a Workshop on Sustainable Tourism Development. The Workshop was participated by representatives of Departments, People’s committee of Cao Bang city and districts, Tourism association, and tour operators.

On July 6th 2020, the Delegation of UNESCO global geopark expert led by Mr.Guy Martini, Senior expert, Chairperson of UNESCO global geopark council met with People's committee of Cao Bang province (PPC); the meeting was attended by Mr.Le Hai Hoa Vice Chairman of the PPC and representative leaders of departments: Cultures, sports and tourism, Finance, Education and Training, Environment and Natural resources.
