Promoting the Non Nuoc Cao Bang UNESCO Global Geopark at the 2025 VEX Robotics World Championship in the United States.

From May 5 to 14, 2025, Robotics Team 11 from Cao Bang High School for the Gifted participated in the 2025 VEX Robotics World Championship in Dallas, Texas, USA. On this occasion, the team also took the opportunity to promote the image of the Non Nuoc Cao Bang UNESCO Global Geopark to international friends.
Robotics Team 11 from Cao Bang High School for the Gifted won the Judges Award at the 2025 VEX Robotics World Championship.
The VEX Robotics World Championship is considered the largest robotics competition in the world, attracting between 2,400 and 3,000 teams from over 50 developed countries. This year, Vietnam has 18 teams participating, placing it among the countries with the highest number of competing teams — a testament to the strong development of the STEM movement nationwide.

At this year’s international robotics arena, Robotics Team 11 from Cao Bang High School for the Gifted (team number 36070M) consists of the following students: Phuong Vy Hoang (Grade 10, Math), Nguyen Trung Hieu (Grade 10, English), Vu Tuan Dung (Grade 10, Physics), Hoang Khanh Hung (Grade 10, Math), Luong Nguyen Gia Vy (Grade 10, Math), Le Do Bao Khang (Grade 10, English), and Hoang Thi Phuong Linh (Grade 11, English). The team has been guided by Ms. Do Thi Huong Tra, Deputy Head of the Chemistry – Biology Department and Head of the STEM Club at Cao Bang High School for the Gifted.

Over three days of competition (May 6–9, 2025), Robotics Team 11 competed in 10 alliance matches, 6 skills challenges, and a judge interview. They excelled and were honored with the Judges Award in the VEX V5 robotics category— a special award presented by the judging panel to recognize teams with outstanding effort, character, and
achievement.
Notably, in the online challenge themed "Promoting STEM Education," Team 11 outperformed all other participating teams to win the STEM Advocacy Award, affirming their role in spreading passion for STEM within the community.
The team also delivered an impressive overall performance, ranking 49th in the world out of 820 teams. This remarkable achievement is not only a pride for their school and Cao Bang province, but also a powerful testament to the capability, intelligence, and global aspirations of Vietnamese youth on the world robotics stage.
Robotics Team 11 showcased traditional handmade products of ethnic groups from Cao Bang province at the competition.
On this occasion, the Management Board of Non Nuoc Cao Bang UNESCO Global Geopark coordinated and supported Robotics Team 11 in promoting the geopark through a display booth at the event. The promotional materials included banners, posters, brochures, promotional publications, traditional costumes of ethnic minorities in Cao Bang, geopark-themed uniforms, and traditional handmade souvenirs such as brocade keychains, handmade paper fans, and naturally dyed traditional paper notebooks.

Through this meaningful activity, the image of the Non Nuoc Cao Bang UNESCO Global Geopark was widely shared with international friends attending the competition, contributing to the promotion of Cao Bang’s unique geological, cultural, and natural heritage. At the same time, the activity instilled a sense of pride and strengthened the sense of responsibility among the students in the team to preserve and promote the heritage values of their homeland.
