Raising Public Awareness of Geoheritage Conservation for Sustainable Tourism Development in Non nuoc Cao Bang Geopark

In 2024, the Management Board of Non nuoc Cao Bang Geopark organized 15 training sessions with the participation of 853 local residents, public officials and agents. The training sessions focused on geological heritage conservation, environmental protection, and building sustainable tourism models. Through these sessions, the local community gained a better understanding of the Geopark designation and was also encouraged to get involved in heritage conservation efforts, sharing benefits and contributing to a thriving environment for sustainable development that balances heritage protection with improvement of life quality.

Additionally, the Management Board of Non nuoc Cao Bang Geopark has enhanced initiatives for sustainable tourism development, such as developing community-based tourism models, experiential activities at traditional craft villages, and widely promoting Geopark tourism routes. These efforts not only help protect heritage values but also create job opportunities and increase income for local people.

Raising public awareness plays a significant role in shaping Non nuoc Cao Bang Geopark as a model for integrating heritage conservation with sustainable development, making a positive contribution to achieving the common goals of the Global Geoparks Network.
