Schools in Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark preserve traditional Tet culture

In the bustling atmosphere of the days before Tet, schools in the area have implemented many special programs to help students have the opportunity to learn and experience the unique culture during the traditional Lunar New Year.

A typical example is the "Countryside Fair" program being taken place on January 17, 2025 at Quang Trung Primary and Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities (Hoa An), recreating the lively space of the ancient Tet market. The stalls selling typical local agricultural products are elaborately decorated with traditional images such as peach trees, apricot trees, red parallel sentences... In particular, the cultural exchange activities, sticky rice competition, and banh troi making attracted a large number of students and parents to participate, creating many memorable experiences in the new spring.

Next, on January 23, 2025, Thach An District Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities organized the extracurricular program "My hometown's Tet market" to welcome the spring of At Ty and promote the UNESCO Non Nuoc Cao Bang Global Geopark. This is an annual activity with high educational value and is also a playground to help students learn about local heritage values. On this occasion, the school's Youth Union presented 8 gifts worth 1,600,000 VND to disadvantaged students, contributing to spreading the message of sharing during Tet.
 

Inadditon, schools in the Geopark area also organize many activities to explore the heritage value of Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark. Typical examples include the Party and Spring Celebration Program combined with Geopark propaganda at Be Trieu Primary and Secondary School (Hoa An) or the Extracurricular Program to learn about Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark combined with STEM product introduction at Dam Quang Trung High School (Ha Quang).
