As part of the program, the delegation surveyed and assessed the following heritage sites: Ma Phuc Pass, Mountain God’s Eye, Phja Thap incense village, Dia Tren traditional paper village, Khuoi Ky stone village, Nguom Ngao Cave, and Ban Gioc Waterfall.
At the heritage sites, the expert delegation focused on surveying and evaluating the management, protection, and utilization of infrastructure along the Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark experiential route. This included new check-in points, directional signs, warning signs, introduction boards, parking areas, environmental sanitation, landscape and heritage conservation, preservation and promotion of indigenous cultural values at community tourism sites, as well as bilingual (Vietnamese – English) interpretation and presentation at the heritage locations.
Based on the field survey, the expert delegation will compile findings, assess the current status, and provide recommendations for the construction and development of the Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark. They will also offer guidance on implementing tasks related to the development of the Non Nuoc Cao Bang UNESCO Global Geopark in 2025.
From August 11 to 12, the expert delegation continued their field survey and assessment of the experiential tourism routes within the Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark: the northern route Experience “History and Freedom” and the western route titled “Experience Phja Oac – The Mountain of Transformations.”
