The Meeting in response to World Environment Day June 5 and Action Month for the Environment in 2025

The meeting was attended by representatives of leaders of departments, agencies, unions, and more than 200 officials, civil servants, public employees, armed forces, youth union members, and local people.
The meeting in response to Environment Day June 5 and the Action Month for the Environment in 2025 with the theme "Fighting plastic pollution" took place in a vibrant atmosphere, conveying the United Nations' message on the environment, aiming to raise public awareness about environmental protection, reducing plastic waste and sustainable development. At the ceremony, leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, Trung Khanh District People's Committee, Dam Thuy Commune People's Committee, Chi Vien Commune People's Committee, Phong Chau Commune People's Committee signed a commitment to implement the Waste Classification Model at Source in Dam Thuy Commune, Chi Vien Commune, Phong Chau Commune, Trung Khanh District.

After the ceremony, delegates and participating forces carried out many meaningful activities such as: planting flowers at Ban Gioc waterfall (Trung Khanh); clearing bushes and weeds, pruning flowers and trees, cleaning and collecting waste, dredging the drainage system and transporting it to the treatment area according to regulations; displaying and introducing products of Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark, environmental products of the Cao Bang Provincial Science and Technology Innovation Contest, recycled products from plastic waste...

At the meeting, the Management Board of Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark coordinated to carry out communication and promotion activities on the heritage values ​​of the Geopark as well as environmental protection activities in schools through booths displaying local products such as Phja Thap incense, Dia Tren traddtional paper... along with communication publications including: 4-route books, 4-route tourism experience leaflets, Geopark newsletter. This is an important communication activity, contributing to promoting the image of Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark to the public, thereby raising public awareness of environmental protection, while preserving and promoting the values ​​of geological heritage, nature and indigenous culture. Through spreading the message about the role and responsibility of nature conservation, the activity also contributes to encouraging the community to develop tourism and services associated with the goal of sustainable development in the Geopark region.

The meeting has strongly spread the United Nations' messages on the environment, contributing to raising public awareness of urgent environmental issues today, especially combating climate change, promoting green growth and reducing plastic pollution. Through a series of practical activities, the event has aroused a sense of responsibility and encouraged the active participation of organizations and individuals in environmental protection, contributing to the formation of a civilized lifestyle, improving the quality of life and building a sustainable development environment; actively contributing to the cause of environmental protection and building the image of Cao Bang as a green - clean - beautiful, rich in identity.
