Following the schedule, the delegation conducted a field survey and evaluated several heritage sites along the Western route - "Experience Phja Oac - The Mountain of Transformations" including: Lang Mon ancient coral, the Hoai Khao community-based tourism village, Tran Hung Dao Forest Special National Monument, Dragon-back panorama, Phja Oac panorama, Lung Muoi tungsten mine, Phja Oac granite site, Ban O tungsten mine, the Red Villa, and Kolia organic farm.
At each site, the evaluators focused on assessing the management, protection, and utilization of infrastructure along the Non nuoc Cao Bang geopark experience route, such as: new check-in points, directoin panels, information panels, parking, environmental sanitation, landscape protection, conservation and promotion of local cultural values at community-based tourism sites, etc. In particular, at the Hoai Khao community-based tourism village in Quang Thanh Commune (Nguyen Binh), the delegation experienced the traditional technique of printing patterns on fabric with beeswax to create the intricate and splendid garments of the Dao Tien women.
Following the field survey, the evaluators will compile their observations, evaluate and propose recommendations for the development and management of Non nuoc Cao Bang Geopark.
