Ban Gioc tourism festival 2019

From October 5^th-6^th 2019, the Ban Gioc tourism festival 2019 was organized at Ban Gioc tourism site, Dam Thuy commune, Trung Khanh district.

Located in the Eastern route Experience traditional cultures in a wonderland, Ban Gioc waterfall is one of the main tourists’ sites of Cao Bang province. Ban Gioc waterfall is considered to be the fourth largest and most beautiful waterfall laying on the border of countries, after the Iguazu fall of Brasil and Argentina, Victorial fall of Zambia and Zimbabue, and Niagra fall of the US and Canada.

The Ban Gioc tourism festival 2019 included two main parts, which are ritual practices and festival activities.  The main focus of the Ban Gioc tourism festival 2019 was the Festival of light that was shown in the evening of the 5^th October 2019 at the Ban Gioc waterfall site. By mobilizing the lights, laser beam and souds to tell the story, the Ban Gioc tourism festival 2019 created a colorful art performance atmosphere which helped to attracts thousands of visitors to the Festival. In addition, the Festival Organizing committee organized the a water procession ceremony to pray for peace and fruitful crops at Phat Tich Truc Lam pagoda in Dam Thuy Commune, Trung Khanh district.

Visitors to the Ban Gioc tourism festival 2019 had the opportunities to experience the specialities and cuisines of Trung Khanh district, photo exhibitions on “Non nuoc Trung Khanh exploring”, traditional games such as Tug of War, Sack race, Stick pushing, Catching ducks blindfold and peeling chestnuts, kayaking, folk songs festival of Traditional art conservation teams coming from different communes in Trung Khanh district.
