Capacity building on traditional craft village protection for the Geopark’s partners

At the meeting, the representative of Zo Project Company summarized and evaluated the cooperation between the Company and households involved in the development of the traditional craft of paper-making at Dia Tren village in test orders; the product designing expert clarified the good points of the product and guided the improvement to the unqualified ones. According to the requirements of the Zo Project, the paper products have to be spotless, whiter and smoother, dying papers in large amounts to make them evenly coloured and the bottom of gift bags also need fixing. The Company suggested applying for a certificate of sustainable and environmentally friendly product to meet the export requirements to Europe. The Company continued placing on an order for paper bags and lamps redesigned notebook covers, and diversified paper products to help the villagers increase their selling.
 

The Management Board of Non nuoc Cao Bang Geopark and Zo Project Company also discussed the continual cooperation and the consumption of traditional paper products to ensure sustainable development of the craft village and maximize the benefits to the people.
 

Also, a discussion on existing difficulties in cooperation for the consumption and development of high-quality craft products meeting the requirements of material paper to supply for paper craft products businesses and international markets was provoked. The Management Board continued guiding activities on craft village preservation for tourism development and livelihood improvement for the people living near geo-sites.
