Extracurricular activities organized to promote Non nuoc Cao Bang Unesco Global Geopark in high schools in Cao Bang city

At each of these schools, the extracurricular session was attended by the representative of Non nuoc Cao Bang UGGp Management Board, the school management board, teachers, members of “Geopark ambassador” clubs and all the students.

The extracurricular sessions were organized by the members of "Geopark ambassador” clubs. Each club includes 20 grade 10, 11 and 12 students who have drawing ability, passion for exploring culture, history, geological heritages, and English competence.
Through diverse activities of the extracurricular session such as painting, guessing heritage sites based on pictures given, comedy, music performances, Q&A, and classifying heritage sites according to the 3 experience routes, the students were educated about the typical heritages of culture, geology and biodiversity of Non nuoc Cao Bang UGGp.
Extracurricular activities are a good opportunity for the students of “Geopark ambassador” clubs to disseminate the knowledge about Non nuoc Cao Bang UGGp which they acquired in field experience trips to heritage sites to other students and to propagate the geopark’s image on social media. Additionally, this is a practical and meaningful activity to educate the young generation about the importance of preserving and promoting heritage values of their homeland. Thus, they will contribute to the maintenance and development of Non nuoc Cao Bang UGGp title.
