Standing on Bao Dong peak, it is able to admire magnificent limestone mountains, reflecting the topographical transformation and evolution from young karst to mature karst. The young karst landform characterized by blunt and flat peaks on high saddles with steep cliffs looks like a majestic wall. In contrast, the mature karst landform with separated karst blocks in various shapes of cones, towers, etc. on vast paddy field creates a peaceful scenery.
Bao Dong peak is the highlight of the South experiential route in the Geopark “Times of fire flowers”, the peak of pride and glory of the 1950 Border campaign victory epic. It is also the goal for the tourists who win over themselves to conquer the majestic mount.
