Ta Lung international border gate is the ending of National Highway 3, followed by Thuy Khau bridge on Bac Vong river, connecting to Thuy Khau international border gate in Long Chau, Quangxi district, Guangxi province, China.
Ta Lung international border gate is the main border gate of Cao Bang province, located near the junction where the Bac Vong river joins the Bang Giang river. The Bac Vong river has a long section which is the natural borderline in the East of Quang Hoa district. Ta Lung is the largest border gate in Cao Bang province, facilitating the import and export, inbound and outbound travel through the border gate.
According to the statistics from Ta Lung international border post, on average, there are about 600 - 700 inbound or outbound travellers through the Vietnamese-Chinese border gate each day. Particularly, at Lunar New Year or on holidays, this number spikes up to 1.500 - 2.000 passengers per day.
Ta Lung international border gate is not only a place for the exchange of goods but also a place where border defence friendship, culture and sports exchanges take place. It is the bridge to strengthen the bone between the two neighbour countries with a longstanding friendship Viet Nam and China
