From the City heading west, with many geological, ecological and landscape sites, the heart of which being the Phia Oac-Phia Den National Park and Tran Hung Dao Forest Special National Monument, visitors would be able to find evidences of many processes and events that have contributed to the transformation this area, e.g. volcanic activities, mineral deposits; changes in the climate, ecosystems and biodiversity with altitudes; changes related to the presence of the French at the beginning of the 20th century; and in particular changes associated with General Vo Nguyen Giap and his army in the early days of the August revolution. Nonetheless, there remain chances for visitors to about learn the richness of local cultures of the Dao people, which, after so many happenings, appears unchanged.
