Training for partners of Non nuoc Cao Bang Geopark on preparations for the 8th Asia Pacific Geoparks Network Symposium 2024 in Cao Bang  

On July 2, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (DCST) held a training conference for Non nuoc Cao Bang Geopark community and partners in Cao Bang City to prepare for the 8th APGN Symposium 2024 in Cao Bang.

Meeting to unify the content outline for the Cao Bang Geopark Information Center display  

On July 1, the Provincial Investment and Construction Project Management Board (PMB) held a meeting to unify the content outline of the exhibition of Non nuoc Cao Bang UNESCO Global Geopark’s information (UGGp) under the project: Cao Bang Provincial Museum.

Meeting of the Communications Subcommittee of the 8th Asia Pacific Geoparks Network Symposium 2024  

On June 27, the Communications Subcommittee of the 8th Asia Pacific Geoparks Network Symposium (APGN) 2024 in Cao Bang held a meeting to implement the conference's propaganda tasks. Mr. Be Thanh Tinh, member of the Executive Committee, Head of the Department of Publicity and Education, and Head of the Subcommittee chaired the meeting.

Meeting of the Working Group of the Sub-Committees for the 8th Asia Pacific Geoparks Network Symposium  

On June 24, 2024, the Working Group of the Protocol, Logistics and Celebration Subcommittee (P, L, C) of the 8th Asia Pacific Geoparks Network Symposium (APGN) in Cao Bang held a meeting to discuss the assignment of tasks to members. Ms. Doan Thi Le An, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (DCST), Head of the Working Group of the P, L, C Subcommittee chaired the meeting. Attending the meeting were leaders of departments, sectors and members of the Working Group.

Workshop “Vietnam Geopark Development Model and Vietnam Geopark Network”  

On June 20, 2024, at the headquarters of the Institute of Geosciences and Mineral Resources, Hanoi, the Vietnam Global Geoparks Expert Subcommittee held a workshop on "Vietnam Geopark Development Model and Vietnam Geopark Network". Attending the meeting were Mr. Trinh Hai Son, Head of the Expert Subcommittee, Director of the Institute of Geosciences and Mineral Resources, and representatives of the Global Geoparks Expert Subcommittees, Representatives of Vietnam Geoparks; Mr. Guy Martini, Secretary General of the Global Geoparks Network; On Cao Bang province side, there was Mr. Sam Viet An - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Non nuoc Cao Bang Geopark Management Board.

On June 6, the Communications Subcommittee of the 8th Asia Pacific Geoparks Network Symposium 2024 in Cao Bang held a meeting to discuss propaganda about the symposium. Mr. Be Thanh Tinh, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, Head of the Communications Subcommittee chaired the meeting.

Survey of the parking lot and plan to repair road into the Magic Eye Mountain heritage site  

On June 6, Quang Hoa District People's Committee held a meeting with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism on implementing projects related to the cultural field. Attending the meeting were Mr. Sam Viet An, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Mr. Do Van Thang, Secretary of the District Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai, Chairman of the District People's Committee; and representatives of relevant departments and professional agencies.

Consultation and support on heritage conservation associated with livelihood development for residents

On May 30 and 31, 2024, the Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark Management Board implemented support activities on heritage conservation associated with livelihood development for potential and official partners, community benefit models of residents at heritage sites in craft villages, community tourism villages on the “Experience traditional culture in wonderland” route UNESCO Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark

Environmental protection education is associated with sustainable development through the Geopark Ambassador Club’s school activities.

Schools in the Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark area through the model of establishing the Geopark Ambassador Club have actively responded to environmental protection activities associated with the 17 sustainable development goals of the United Nations and promote the title of UNESCO Non Nuoc Cao Bang Global Geopark.

Global Geopark Network expert team working with Cao Bang province

On the afternoon of May 21, the UNESCO Global Geopark Network expert delegation had a working session with Cao Bang province on preparations for the 8th Asia Pacific Geoparks Network Symposium 2024 in Cao Bang. Welcoming and working with the delegation was Mr. Hoang Xuan Anh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Cao Bang Provincial People's Committee, and Head of the Conference Organizing Committee.

From May 15 to May 17, 2024, the Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark Management Board participated in a field survey program at the heritage sites of Hong Kong Geopark, China.

Exciting experience activities before the school year-end

In the 2023 - 2024 school year-end days, schools in the Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark area organized many experience and extracurricular activities for students to learn about Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark and that was also a reward for students after a year of studying with many efforts.

2024 Asia Pacific Geopark Network (APGN) Geopark Development Forum

On May 14, 2024, Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark Management Board attended thematic report sessions and round table discussions at the 2024 APGN Geopark Development Forum in Hong Kong, China.

On May 14, the Logistics, Ceremony, and Content Subcommittee, the 8th Asia Pacific Geoparks Network Symposium (APGN 2024) in Cao Bang organized meetings to discuss and implement conference preparation work. Mr. Sam Viet An, Provincial Party Committee member, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and Head of the Subcommittee chaired the meeting.

Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark Management Board received 300 geological and mineral specimens

On May 5, 2024, at the Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark Management Board, the Archive Information Center and Geological Museum handed over geological and mineral specimens. Attending were Mr. Truong Quang Duy, Deputy Director of the Archive Information Center and Geological Museum and Mr. Vi Tran Thuy, Deputy Director of the Geopark Management Board.

Meeting to exchange agreement on provincial museum display.

On the afternoon of May 3, at the station of the Provincial Investment and Construction Project Management Board, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the Project Management Board to organize a meeting to discuss the display of the Provincial Museum, which agreed to deploy the display content of Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark.

Connecting, collaborating, and implementing tourism activities workshop

On April 27, for practical activities to celebrate the 5th Asia Pacific Geopark Week, the Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark Management Board collaborated with the Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark Management Board to organize a workshop on connecting, collaborating, and implementing tourism activities between two partner network Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark and Dong Van Karst Plateau.

From April 24 - 27, the Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark Management Board (Cao Bang) collaborated with the Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark Management Board (Ha Giang) to organize connecting activities for the Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark Partner Network (Ha Giang) survey of experiential tourism routes at Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark.
