Officially opened the registration portal to attend the 8th Asia Pacific Geopark Network Symposium in 2024

The meeting approved a summary of the preparations to organize the APGN 2024 Symposium (after the 1st Organizing Committee meeting, January 17, 2024); a general plan for organizing the 8th Asia Pacific Geopark Network Symposium; conference estimates and some contents related to service procurement bidding; approve the draft contents and itinerary of preparatory activities for symposium organization. 

Also at the meeting, leaders of departments, boards, and branches discussed and contributed ideas on organizational logistics, ceremonies, and stages of welcoming international delegates; develop a training plan for English and Chinese volunteers to support international delegates and transport vehicles; ensure security, health… organize international press conferences to inform and promote the event; discuss and agree on the contents, itinerary of preparatory activities for the preparation of the symposium and some other contents. 

Within the 8th Asia Pacific Geopark Network 2024 framework, thematic seminar sessions; cultural, and artistic performances; exhibition place, promotion of local tourism; and field surveys will take place on experiential routes in the Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark area... The symposium will be organized on an international scale, chaired by the Provincial People's Committee, and co-chaired by the Vietnam National Committee for UNESCO, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Delegates attending were about 800-1,000 people (international and domestic). The estimated time is from September 9 to September 15, 2024. Location of conferences, seminars, exhibitions, promotional booths, tourism promotion... at the Provincial Convention Center (km5, De Tham ward, Cao Bang city).

Concluding the meeting, Chairman of the People's Committee Hoang Xuan Anh emphasized that the Symposium is a significant event of international stature, an opportunity to learn and share experiences in construction and development,  promote the value of the Geopark model to countries around the world; strengthen image promotion, open new opportunities for tourism in the province, gradually turning tourism into a key economic sector of the locality. At the same time, he affirms the province's capacity to organize large, international events. Contribute to realizing the goals and aspirations of building the Cao Bang tourism trademark in the spirit of the Central Resolution, Resolution of the XIX Provincial Party Congress on implementing the breakthrough task of developing tourism into a key economic sector. He recommended that sub-committees, departments, boards, branches, and localities closely follow the assigned plans and tasks to implement the contents and tasks on schedule. Especially preparing agenda content for international delegates; building a daily activity schedule for delegates, preparing the volunteer force, arranging specialized people resources to manage each activity and task according to the set schedule, preparing agenda content for international delegates, prepare volunteers to support the event; assigning and arranging management personnel to deploy each activity to ensure closely and comprehensive so that the Symposium takes place on schedule, leave a strong impression on domestic and international delegates. 

On this occasion, Cao Bang province has completed the delegate registration portal and is ready to serve delegates registering to attend the 8th Asia Pacific Geopark Network Symposium 2024 in Cao Bang. At the meeting, Mr. Hoang Xuan Anh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Conference Organizing Committee and other delegates in the Organizing Committee pressed the official button to open the registration portal.
