To build a friendly school with active students to promote experiential activities and raise environmental protection awareness, Ha Lang High School has classified trash and recyclable plastic waste are sold to raise funds, organic waste is processed into fertilizer to grow vegetables and sold to restaurants to raise funds, those funds are used to award scholarships to students in difficult circumstances and with high academic achievements.
Plastic waste and waste paper will be collected and put into the "200 VND" house model and sold to raise funds.
Garbage such as leaves and dry branches will be burned into ash at the school's garbage disposal area, then will be composted with manure brought by students. After a composting period of 1-2 weeks, students will use the composted manure to fertilize the flowers and vegetable gardens they grow. The harvested vegetable garden will be sold to vegetable stores. In addition, teachers, parents, and students in the school will also buy and support. The money collected from two fundraising activities at the school will be used to award scholarships to students in difficult circumstances and achieve high academic achievements.
The environmental protection actions of teachers and students of Ha Lang High School have contributed to raising environmental awareness, joining hands to implement the United Nations' sustainable development goals and activities on geopark education in school.
