Workshop “Vietnam Geopark Development Model and Vietnam Geopark Network”

In the Workshop, Mr. Vi Tran Thuy, Director of Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark Management Board reported on the preparation work for the 8th Asia Pacific Geoparks Network Symposium (APGN); proposed that the Geoparks in Vietnam support the organization of the Symposium.

In addition, the Workshop also discussed "Improving the effectiveness of the expert advisory system" and "Improving the model of the Vietnam Geopark Network (VGN)".

Mr. Sam Viet An - Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee affirmed that Cao Bang is actively preparing for the Symposium. To ensure the organization process effectively, Cao Bang province will continue to deploy the consulting activities of UNESCO experts; request the Vietnam National Commission for UNESCO, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and relevant units to promptly issue a coordination plan; strengthen the coordination of the VGN.

At the end of the meeting, Mr. Trinh Hai Son requested that relevant units promptly issue a general plan and provide detailed support for Cao Bang in preparing for the 8th APGN Symposium.
