Field learning experience of “Geopark ambassador club” of the piloted secondary schools in Cao Bang city

“Geopark ambassador club” model is piloted in 6 schools (3 secondary schools and 3 high schools in Cao Bang city). Each club has 15 to 20 students with a passion for exploring culture, history, geology, good English competence and is guided by 2 or 3 teachers. This activity aims at assisting a group of students to explore the geopark with the guidance and support from their teachers and Non nuoc Cao Bang UGGp Management Board.
Joining the club is a good opportunity for the students of Hop Giang, Hoa Chung and Ngoc Xuan secondary schools to learn about the importance of establishing and developing Non nuoc Cao Bang UGGp. In particular, they will be able to gain practical experiences from visiting geological, historical, cultural heritage sites, traditional craft villages and understand the importance of preservation and promotion of different heritages and environment protection.

The activity, moreover, is designed with the objective to help the students to broaden cultural and social knowledge, and help them relate the knowledge they learn in school with real life. In addition, members of the Communication Team had a realistic chance to practise communication skills such as: collecting and analyzing information, taking pictures, recording clips, and making use of social networks to promote information. After the field learning trips, the members of the clubs will organize propaganda activities to introduce the information of Non nuoc Cao Bang UGGp to other students and communities.
