The workshop gathered 50 students who are the members five “Geopark Ambassador” Clubs from the high schools located in Thuc Phan and Nung Tri Cao wards including Cao Bang Provincial Boarding High School for Ethnic Minorities, Cao Bang High School for the Gifted, Cao Bang City High School, Be Van Dan High School, and Cao Binh High School.
Attending the workshop, the students were introduced updated information of Geopark communication and education in schools. They also joined discussion, shared experiences, and proposed ideas for activities on variety of topics such as preserving ethnic languages in schools; promoting and organizing activities on response to the International Days called by the Global Geoparks Network; enhancing Geopark communication on the Clubs’ social channels; organizing communication and awareness-raising activities about the Geopark in schools; and strengthening coordination and exchanges among “Geopark Ambassador” Clubs in the 2025-2026 academic year. The workshop concluded with an agreement among the Clubs in Thuc Phan and Nung Tri Cao wards to jointly implement follow-up communication and exchange activities.
During the discussion session, the students proposed many ideas to enhance the effectiveness of the Geopark Ambassador club model. They suggested the Management Board of Non nuoc Cao Bang Geopark facilitate stronger connections and cooperation among schools for common communication and promotion activities, and exchanges. They also expected that the Management Board will keep organizing workshops, forums and creative activities for students. Thus, young people can gain a deeper understanding of geological heritage, nurture love for their homeland and country, and foster pride of Non nuoc Cao Bang UNESCO Global Geopark.
The workshop was organized to continue harnessing the role of the “Geopark Ambassador” Club model in the communication and promotion of Non nuoc Cao Bang UNESCO Global Geopark in schools and the community in the 2025-2026 school year. This is an effort to create a forum for students to learn, strengthen their knowledge about the Geopark, share experiences, develop soft skills, and generate innovative ideas to enhance the effectiveness of the club model, contributing to the the quality of Geopark education in schools.
