Providing support for sustainable development of traditional craft village tourism on the east experience route of Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark

From February 22 to 23, the Management Board of Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark coordinated with Phuc Sen Commune People's Committee (Quang Hoa) to organize meetings on supporting sustainable tourism development and bringing benefits to people of traditional craft villages including Dia Tren papermaking village and Phja Thap incense village, Phuc Sen commune (Quang Hoa).

Giving the households of Dia Tren papermaking village advice on traditional craft presevation and sustainable tourism development
In Dia Tren papermaking village, after the Geopark Management Board implemented trainning and supported villagers in diversifying souvernirs from trational paper for a while, currently, the household of Mrs. Nong Thi Kinh attracts a quite number of visitors to visit, experience and buy paper products. A corner for tourists to experiencing the tradtional craft is soon be completed at her house.  In 2024, the Geopark Management Board will continue to support and advise villagers on building traditional craft experiencing corners for tourists, selling agricultural products with interesting ways to attract customers, providing parking service to create community funds and supporting families in difficult circumstances.

Meeting with some households of Phja Thap incense village on sustainable tourism development
In Phja Thap incense village, leaders of Phuc Sen Commune People's Committee, hamlet authorities and some households agreed with the Geopark Management Board to propose a location for a check-in venue and craft village promotion points at the same time associating with generating income for the villagers. In addition, they will pilot packaging for incense products and improve the aesthetics of products to serve international customers. 
In the comming time, the Geopark Management Board will cotinue to organizing experience exchanging tours on preservation and promotion of craft villagers and implementation of tourism development to benefit the craft villagers.
