TRAINING ON NON NUOC CAO BANG UNESCO GLOBAL GEOPARK FOR LOCAL AND AUTHORITIES IN HOA AN DISTRICT

Over 100 trainees, who were community leaders and officers of Divisions of People’s committee of Hoa An district, communes in Hoa An district, representatives of tourism service providers in district, Women's Union, village leader, and Youth union, attended the training workshop.

The training provided the trainees with basic contents such as the development process of Non nuoc Cao Bang UNESCO UNESCO global geopark, the outstanding significant heritages ​​of the geopark; Code of Conducts in tourism; and tourism promotion program of Cao Bang province; Weaknesses in the management, exploitation and preservation of heritage sites ​​in Non nuoc Cao Bang UNESCO global geopark.

In the afternoon, participants also actively participated in group discussions activities on the conservation and community raising awareness and promotion of values and significances of heritage sites of Non nuoc Cao Bang UNESCO global geopark in Hoa An district.

In addition, the Organization Committee integrated the activity on celebrating the International Day of Disaster reduction to provide information to trainees on some basic knowledge about risk reduction activities, and shared some of best practices on disaster preparedness and mitigation, especially landslide and floods to local communities and authorities in Hoa An district.
