The workshop aimed at providing the information to the teachers and train the teachers on how to intergrate the information of heritage sites in teaching at school; planing and operating activities for all participants in “the Geopark discovery club” at heritage sites; guide how to collect information, photos, clips to serve for propaganda and propagate the contents of Geopark for each clubs.
“The Geopark ambassador club” model is piloted within 06 schools (3 high schools and 3 secondary schools in Cao Bang city); each club includes 15-20 students who are capable of and passionate about drawing, learning more about culture, history, geological heritage and English literacy. By participating in the club, students will have chance to experience and connect the theories of subjects learnt in school to the real life. After analysing the documents combing with field experience of geo-sites together with assistance from teachers and the Management board of Non nuoc Cao Bang UGGp, club members then organize communication activities to share their knowledge of the geopark with other students and communities through school news, wall papers, competitions, school extracurricular, putting on a play, making clips,etc.
Before the training workshop, from June 23rd-25th 2020 the Management board cooperated with the Department of Education and Traning to take the teachers from the piloted schools to experience heritage sites in the 3 experience routes of Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark in order to finalize the framework document and the operational guiding document to carry out the "
