World Tourism Day 2025 (September 27) is celebrated under the theme “Tourism and Sustainable Transformation,” highlighting tourism’s role as a key driver of social progress. Cao Bang receives over 2.4 million tourists in nine months

In the nine months of 2025, Cao Bang Province welcomed more than 2.4 million tourist arrivals, an increase of 59.4% compared to the same period last year, reaching 96.2% of the annual target.

Regular field survey and evaluation of the Geopark sites

From September 22 to September 25, 2025, the Management Board of Non nuoc Cao Bang Geopark conducted regular field survey to evaluate the infrastructure and define location of the Geopark sites in the communes within the Geopark territory after the implementation of the two-tier local administrative system.

On the morning of September 5, joining the joyful atmosphere of the nationwide “Academic year opening day,” Thach An High School held its opening ceremony for the 2025 – 2026 academic year with a special highlight: welcoming Grade 10 students in both Vietnamese and Tay. This is the first time the school has carried out this meaningful activity, aiming to preserve and promote ethnic cultural values, especially the Tay language – an important ethnic language in Non nuoc Cao Bang UNESCO Global Geopark territory.

On the evening of September 10 (local time), equivalent to September 11 morning (Vietnam time), at the gala dinner of the 11th International Conference on UNESCO Global Geoparks held at the Kütralkura UNESCO Global Geopark in Chile, Non nuoc Cao Bang UNESCO Global Geopark was one of the five Geoparks honored to receive the “Global Geoparks Network (GGN) Best Practice” Award.

Non nuoc Cao Bang Geopark Management Board attends training course on heritage impact assessment

From September 11 to 14, 2025, a representative of the Management Board of Non nuoc Cao Bang Geopark attended a training course on raising awareness and enhancing professional knowledge and skills in heritage impact assessment. The course focused on experiences and practices in protecting and promoting the values of historical and cultural relics, scenic landscapes in Vietnam, as well as safeguarding and promoting World Cultural and Natural Heritage values in Vietnam under the World Heritage Convention. The program was organized by the Department of Cultural Heritage in Dien Bien Province.

On September 6, 2025 (local time), in the framework of the 11th International Conference on UNESCO Global Geoparks, held in Kutralkura UNESCO Global Geopark in Chile, the 10th Session of the UNESCO Global Geoparks Council was convened. At the session, the Council reviewed and proposed "Green card" for Non nuoc Cao Bang UNESCO Global Geopark.

On September 7, 2025 (local time), within the framework of the 11th International Conference on UNESCO Global Geoparks held in Kutralkura (Chile) UNESCO Global Geopark, the 10th Session of the UNESCO Global Geoparks Council took place.

Cao Bang welcomes 75,000 visitors during National Independence Day holiday (September 2nd)

During the National Day holiday, Cao Bang Province received an estimated 74,800 tourists, an increase of 10.8% compared to the previous year. Among them, international visitors accounted for over 2,800 arrivals, while domestic tourists reached more than 72,000. Total tourism revenue was estimated at 71.2 billion VND, an increase of 34.34% year-on-year, with accommodation occupancy rates exceeding 56%.
