Participating in the program were 30 partners of Non nuoc Cao Bang UGGp, who are representatives of tourism service providers, traditional craft villages, and accommodation establishments... in the geopark territory.
On April 24-25, the partners of Non nuoc Cao Bang UGGp visited the establishments of tourist service providers, accommodation, craft villages, and heritage sites in the Dong Van Karst Plateau UGGp in Meo Vac, Dong Van, Yen Minh and Quan Ba districts such as: OCOP booth in Meo Vac district, the community-based tourism village of the Mong ethnic group in Pa Vi, Ma Pi Leng geo-site (Meo Vac district);Plum homestay, Lo Lo Chai Cultural Village, in Lung Cu commune, Ma Le ancient house of the Giay ethnic group (Dong Van district); Cong Thanh Cooperative (Yen Minh district); Community-based tourism Village in Nam Dam, H'Mong Village Resort (Quan Ba district)…
After the field survey, a workshop on exchanging experiences in sustainable tourism development among partners of the two geoparks was organized at Hmong Village resort (Quan Ba district) on April 26th, 2022. At the workshop, the partners of the two sides shared experiences and spent time discussing participatory sustainable tourism business activities, developing local products, difficulties and challenges in implementing community-based tourism that meets the requirements of preserving traditional values and landscapes, and the needs of tourism development, communication and promotion activities, identifying difficulties and advantages in connecting tourism between the two geoparks in particular and the two provinces in general... Sharing at the workshop, the partners of Non nuoc Cao Bang UGGp highly appreciated the practical and useful shares about community-based tourism activities and communication work that the partners of Dong Van Karst Plateau UGGp have been implementing, and expressed their desire to connect with the partners of Dong Van Karst Plateau UGGp to learn experiences related directly to their business activities and promote tourism activities connecting the two geoparks in the near future.
