Conducting field surveys for an inventory of biodiversity in Non nuoc Cao Bang Geopark

On March 4–5, the Management Board of Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark, in collaboration with the Cao Bang Provincial Forest Protection Department, the Management Board of Special National Monuments, and representatives of the People's Committees of Tam Kim Commune (Nguyên Binh District), Truong Ha Commune (Ha Quang District), Cao Chuong Commune (Trung Khanh District), Quoc Toan and Hong Quang Communes (Quang Hoa District) conducted surveys to collect information on biodiversity in Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark to introduce and popularize to visitors and tourists.

Following the schedule, the working team conducted surveys to collect information on endemic flora and fauna species along walking trails and around heritage sites in the Geopark. The sites surveyed are Tran Hung Dao Forest Special National Monument (Tam Kim Commune, Nguyen Binh District), Pac Bo Special National Monument (Truong Ha Commune, Ha Quang District), the site of Mountain Angel Eye (Quoc Toan Commune, Quang Hoa District and Cao Chuong Commune, Trung Khanh District), and the Magic Stone (Hong Quang Commune, Quang Hoa district).

During the surveys, the working team discussed and agreed on the locations for installing biodiversity information pannels along the walking trails and at the Geopark sites to popularize the information to visitors.

Data collection is not only a crucial basis for assessing the current state of ecosystems but also a scientific basis for proposing practical solutions to enhance biodiversityconservation in the Geopark. This activity reaffirms Cao Bang Province's commitment to preserving and promoting heritage values, striving for sustainable development.
