The Management Board of Non nuoc Cao Bang Geopark conducted a field survey at some craft villages and community-based tourism villages in Hanoi and Hoa Binh in the preparation of a study visit for the Geopark partners

From March 16^th -19^th, 2023, the Management Board of Non nuoc Cao Bang Geopark met with artisans and members of the Management Boards of cooperatives at some famous craft villages and community-based tourism villages in Hanoi and Hoa Binh, discussing a number of issues related to preservation and promotion of traditional crafts, studying the management models and benefit sharing between cooperatives’ members and the community at these villages.

At the craft villages, the artisans shared with the Management Board of Non nuoc Cao Bang Geopark their experience in developing traditional crafts. Visiting Chieng Chau brocade weaving and service cooperative, the Management Board of the Geopark learned about the operational model of the cooperative. The team also visited other well-known community-based tourism villages such as Duong Lam ancient village, in Son Tay commune, Hanoi, Ban Lat community-based tourism village in Chieng Chau commune, Mai Chau district, Hoa Binh Province to learned about the model of tourism management cooperative, sharing benefits from tourism activities equally, code of conduct towards traditional values in need of preservation. In addition, the team paid a visit to the traditional incense-making village in Quang Phu Cau commune, Ung Hoa district, Hanoi and learned about the implementation of the check-in venue in the village.
