At the meeting the design consulting company made a report on the progress of construction work (raw construction) of Cao Bang museum, Information Center of Non nuoc Cao Bang Geopark, and presented the draft plan for the interior exhibition of Non nuoc Cao Bang Geopark Information Center within Cao Bang Museum. Cao Bang Museum construction was started in 2020 and is planned to be completed by the end of 2023.
At the meeting, Mr. Guy Martini, Chairperson of UNESCO Global Geoparks Council spoke highly of the construction of Cao Bang Museum in general and Non nuoc Cao Bang Geopark Information Center in particular. Regarding the interior exhibition of the Geopark Information Center, he stressed the fundamental chapters to be displayed: geological heritage, the geological evolution over 500 million years of Non nuoc Cao Bang Geopark, native biodiversity; tangible and intangible cultural heritage, indigenous peoples, the relation between people and the Earth’s resources, sustainable development activities in Non nuoc Cao Bang Geopark, tourism routes, networking activities, and the promotion of the Global Geoparks Network and Asia Pacific Geoparks Network.
After the meeting, relevant sides will actively exchange information related to the project to ensure the progress of implementing the items of the interior exhibition of Non nuoc Cao Bang Geopark Information Center, which will be a highlight of the 8th Asia Pacific Geoparks Network Symposium 2024.
