Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son cut the ribbon to inaugurate the exhibition space of the 8th APGN Symposium

On the morning of September 12, Deputy Prime Minister , Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Bui Thanh Son attended the ribbon-cutting and opening ceremony of the exhibition space for the 8th Asia-Pacific Geoparks Network (APGN) Symposium in Cao Bang.
Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr.Bui Thanh Son, provincial leaders and delegates cut the ribbon to inaugurate the exhibition space at the 8th APGN Symposium.
Also in attendance were: Mr. Ha Kim Ngoc - Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Chairman of the Vietnam National UNESCO Committee; Ms. Lidia Brito - Assistant Director-General of UNESCO; Mr. Nickolas Zouros President of the UNESCO Global Geoparks Network; and Mr. Jin Xiaochi - Coordinator of the Asia-Pacific Geoparks Network.
Representing the province were: Mr. Tran Hong Minh, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Hoang Xuan Anh, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Trinh Truong Huy, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and Mr. Be Thanh Tinh, Head of the Provincial Party Committee Department of Propaganda and Education.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony and the opening of the exhibition space are part of the series of activities for the 8th APGN Symposium. This event is an opportunity to reflect on the achievements made, as well as to allow the global geoparks of Vietnam, such as Ha Giang, Cao Bang, Dak Nong, Lang Son and geoparks from many countries in the Asia-Pacific region, to showcase their unique values and sustainable development potentials.

The booths showcase local specialties, OCOP products, and traditional handicrafts, serving as a gathering place for the valuable cultural, historical, and geological values from famous geoparks in the region. Each booth tells its own story about the wonders of nature and the efforts of local communities in conservation and development.

Immediately after the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son, along with delegates and domestic and international visitors, toured the booths, admired and experienced unique tourism products, learned about the heritage values, and felt the connection between humans and nature.
