On November 21–22, the Management Board of Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark, in collaboration with the Department of Culture and Information of Quang Hoa District and the People's Committee of Phuc Sen Commune, organized a training conference on implementing sustainable tourism development activities. The program also included a field survey to learn from practical experiences in heritage conservation-linked tourism activities for the community and Geopark partners in Phuc Sen Commune (Quang Hoa District).

Attending the training conference on implementing sustainable tourism development activities were representatives from the Department of Culture and Information of Quang Hoa District, the People's Committee of Phuc Sen Commune, the Management Board of Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark, local authorities from Dia Tren, Doan Ket, Pac Rang, and Phuc Sen hamlets, along with 40 households who are Geopark partners, homestay operators, and service providers in traditional craft villages within Phuc Sen Commune (Quang Hoa district).

Mr. Vi Tran Thuy, Director of the Management Board of Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark, shared orientations on preserving craft villages in connection with sustainable tourism development.
The training conference provided  an overview information of the Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark partner network, including activities, responsibilities, and benefits for partners. It highlighted the importance of preserving and promoting indigenous cultural values in traditional craft villages and summarized key lessons learned from interprovincial study tours. At the conference, participants exchanged ideas and discussed collaboration efforts in preserving and promoting traditional craft villages. Based on these discussions, the current situation was analyzed, and specific orientations and solutions were proposed to enhance the effectiveness of craft village preservation linked with sustainable tourism development in Phuc Sen Commune (Quang Hoa District) in the coming period.

As the schedule, the Management Board of Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark organized a field survey and study program on heritage conservation-linked tourism activities for the community and Geopark partners in Phuc Sen Commune (Quang Hoa District). The program focused on the Tay ethnic community-based tourism village in Khuoi Ky Hamlet (Trung Khanh District). The survey team visited homestays effectively preserving the traditional architectural and cultural space of the Tay ethnic group in Khuoi Ky Hamlet, including Quang Thuan, Hoang Cong, Minh Khang, and Truong Giang Homestays. They also surveyed service business activities and gained insights into welcoming tourists at other homestays, such as Nguom Ngao Ban Gioc, Phuong Tay, and Yen Nhi.

The survey team held discussions with the Coordination and Development Monitoring Board for Tourism in the Tay Ethnic Cultural Village of Khuoi Ky Hamlet, Dam Thuy Commune (Trung Khanh District).
Working with the Coordination and Development Monitoring Board for Tourism in the Tay Ethnic Cultural Village of Khuoi Ky Hamlet, Dam Thuy Commune (Trung Khanh District), the survey team engaged in discussions about the community benefit-sharing model and sustainable tourism development activities. Topics included preserving and respecting traditional cultural spaces, waste management and environmental protection, skills for welcoming tourists, promoting and advertising local tourism, as well as diversifying and connecting traditional handicraft products and souvenirs to improve livelihoods for local residents.

The survey team conducted a study visit to the Tay Ethnic Cultural Village in Khuoi Ky Hamlet, Dam Thuy Commune (Trung Khanh district).
The training conference and field survey program aimed to raise awareness and responsibility among Geopark partners and local residents about building a community benefit-sharing model and preserving and promoting the values of traditional local craft villages. Through this, the program encouraged the development of a unique community-based tourism product chain, contributing to developing sustainable tourism development in the Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark region.
