Capacity building training for local communities and partners of Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark

The training conference was attended by representatives of the People's Committees of Phuc Sen, Tu Do, Quoc Toan communes (Quang Hoa), Quang Thanh commune (Nguyen Binh) and 50 trainees who are local people, representatives of village and hamlet authorities at heritage sites and partners of the Geopark.

The training conference provided an overview of Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark and the outstanding geological values, natural landscapes, and indigenous cultural features of heritage sites at 4 experience tourist routes Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark. In addition, the trainees learned about the Geopark partner network; consulting and support activities of the Geopark Management Board in craft villages and community tourism villages to encourage people to participate in preserving geological heritage, promoting the value of traditional crafts and the local cultural identity.

At the training conference, the trainees exchanged and discussed about the coordination activities to protect and promote the value of heritage sites to ensure the recommendations of UNESCO experts and the work of building and developing the UNESCO Non Nuoc Cao Bang Global Geopark. At the same time, they proposed orientations and solutions to effectively implement the work of preserving geological heritage, protecting the environmental landscape and developing sustainable tourism models.

The training conference aims to raise awareness and responsibility for the community, local authorities and the Geopark partner network on geological heritage conservation activities associated with sustainable tourism development. Thereby, promoting people to actively participate in the community benefit sharing model, contributing to preserving and promoting the values ​​of geological heritage and effectively exploiting the tourism potential in the Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark area.
