Attending the workshop were leaders of a number of provincial departments, branches and sectors; People's Committees of Trung Khanh and Ha Lang districts; People's Committee of Tu Do commune and representatives of tile-making households in Lung Ri hamlet.
Implementing the breakthrough content on sustainable tourism development, period 2021 - 2025 according to the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025, in 2024, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will promote the conservation, restoration and promotion of traditional craft village values associated with sustainable tourism development. Including the content of building a model "Preserving the traditional craft village of Lung Ri hamlet, Tu Do commune, Quang Hoa district associated with the development of cultural heritage experience tourism".
Lung Ri handmade tile making village, Tu Do commune (Quang Hoa) is a place to preserve and pass on cultural values through many generations. With the potential of traditional handmade tile making knowledge, customs, natural landscapes, architecture, etc., Lung Ri village possesses great potential to develop community tourism associated with cultural heritage experiences.
Sharing at the workshop, Mr. Vi Tran Thuy, Director of the Management Board of Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark, presented an abstract on “Community tourism and traditional handmade tile making village: A sustainable direction for Lung Ri”. In the coming time, Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark Management Board will coordinate with departments, branches, Quang Hoa District People's Committee and relevant parties to implement training activities to improve capacity and support the development of community tourism in Lung Ri tile making village. Thereby, contributing to improving the effectiveness of preserving environmentally friendly traditional crafts and associated with developing livelihoods for the community, bringing experiences and knowledge about history, customs, lifestyles, and knowledge about tile making to tourists.
The workshop was organized to study, evaluate the current situation, potential and propose solutions and directions in preserving the traditional craft of making handmade tiles in Lung Ri hamlet, Tu Do commune, Quang Hoa district associated with the development of cultural heritage tourism; contributing to the preservation and promotion of traditional cultural values of ethnic communities in Quang Hoa district associated with sustainable tourism development. After the workshop, the units coordinating the project implementation had more basis to assess the current situation, thereby building effective and practical project implementation content.
