The contest includes three rounds: The preliminary round, evaluating submitted dossiers from April 28-29, 2025 (results to be announced on May 5, 2025); The semi-final round, tentatively scheduled for May 20, 2025; and The final round, tentatively scheduled for May 29, 2025.
The contest participants are members of the "Geopark Ambassador" Clubs from secondary and high schools in Cao Bang City and the districts of Quang Hoa, Trung Khanh, Ha Lang, Hoa An, Ha Quang, Nguyen Binh, and Thach An (the schools in the Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark territory).
The contest content includes: Presenting the activities on preserving ethnic languages that “Geopark Ambassasdor” clubs conducted in their schools; Promoting the geological, cultural, historical, biodiversity, and natural landscape values of the Non nuoc Cao Bang Geopark in Tày and Nùng languages; and communicating the message of joining hands to preserve and promote heritage values, sustainable tourism, and environmental protection in the Geopark territory.
During the meeting, members of the panel of judges, Content - Secretariat, and Support Teams, discussed and reviewed the draft contest criteria, the question bank, the scoring criteria, prizes, and other relevant issues to ensure that the contest will be organized successfully and meet the objectives scheduled.
The contest aims to raise awareness and responsibility of the youth for the preservation of indigenous languages and the safeguarding of traditional cultural identities. It also contributes to diversifying educational activities on the Non nuoc Cao Bang Geopark in schools. This is created to be a meaningful platform for students to engage, learn from each other, develop soft skills, expose their talents, and disseminate a powerful message about preserving indigenous languages, thereby contributing to the safeguarding and promotion of the distinctive cultural heritage of the Non nuoc Cao Bang Geopark.
