One highlight was the “Exhibition on the Beauty of the Brocade of the Tay ethnic group in Nam Tuan Commune, Hoa An District, Cao Bang Province”. The vibrant exhibition space offered an emotional and immersive experience, honoring the traditional brocade weaving craft-a distinct cultural symbol of the Tay ethnic group in Cao Bang. Through students’ drawings and paintings, brocade items such as blanket covers, baby slings, shoulder bags, pillows, and looms were vividly depicted, reflecting the daily cultural life of the ethnic people. A standout feature of the exhibition was the students’ presentations in the Tay language, which helped viewers gain deeper insight into the meaning and function of each brocade item. The exhibition enabled students to recognize that each woven pattern does not only reflect the artisans’ skill and creativity but also conveys rich cultural, spiritual, and communal significance.
In addition, the “Cath the word” game in the Tay language, organized regularly by the Geopark Ambassador Club during 15-minute pre-learning sessions, has become an exciting activity that evokes interest and affection for the ethnic language. The activity not only helps students expand their vocabulary but also provides opportunities to practice their mother tongue in a context closely tied to local culture, enhancing both memorization and real-life application.
Beyond organizing educational and experiential activities, the Geopark Ambassador Club serves as a bridge connecting students more deeply with local cultural heritage. Through extracurricular programs and engaging and interactive extracurricular sessions, the club offers an ideal learning environment where students can develop their language skills, deepen their understanding of their homeland, and foster a love for their origins and a sense of responsibility for preserving traditional culture. This meaningful connection helps nurture a generation of confident youth who embrace their ethnic identity and actively contribute to the promotion of cultural values in the Non nuoc Cao Bang Geopark.
