Cao Bang Non Nuoc Geopark partners innovate and enhance the value of tourism products and services

Currently, the Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark Partner Network consists of 58 official members, including restaurants, hotels, homestays, beverage service establishments, transportation, traditional craft villages and community tourism villages. Geopark partners not only focus on business activities but also actively participate in initiatives to share community benefits, cooperate and exchange experiences, towards sustainable tourism development.

With the advice and support of the Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark Management Board, together with the proactive and innovative spirit of the Partner Network and the people at the craft village heritage sites and community tourism villages, the quality of tourism products and services in the Geopark area is constantly improved. From accommodation spaces, unique cuisine to unique experiential activities, all bring visitors unique cultural impressions. In addition, the perfecting the packaging design of traditional handicraft products is also specially attended, to ensure aesthetics, demonstrate cultural values ​​and develop high-quality gift lines to meet the increasingly diverse needs of tourists.

At Dia Tren tradditonal paper village, Phuc Sen commune (Quang Hoa District), Ms. Nong Thi Kinh - a partner of the Geopark has succeeded in developing traditional paper products with a variety of sizes and designs. From the success of Ms. Kinh's family, the Management Board of Non nuoc Cao Bang Geopark continues to advise and encourage people to establish a women's group to share benefits to exchange experiences, improve skills, and at the same time deploy an experience space and display area, introducing products made from traditional paper and local agricultural products.

In order to improve management capacity and service quality, the Geopark Partner Network actively participated in programs, training conferences, field surveys and learning activities outside the province organized by the Management Board of Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark on the work of preserving traditional craft villages associated with sustainable tourism development and community tourism in the provinces of Lai Chau, Lao Cai, Quang Ninh; connecting activities between the Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark Partner Network and the Dong Van Stone Plateau Geopark Partner Network, Ha Giang to survey tourism routes of Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark...

At each destination, the partners of the Geopark not only learnt about the heritage values ​​but also directly experienced the typical products and services of each locality and they met, exchanged and learnt from the experiences of tourism models that develop in a sustainable, equitable direction, promote community benefits and preserve traditional culture. The key learning contents include: architectural arrangement methods, space design, building green - clean - beautiful tourism landscapes; diversifying tourism products; improving service quality and improving service style to optimize the experience for tourists. In addition, the partners also learnt about the model of organization, management and operation of management boards in traditional craft villages and community tourism villages. Through these activities, the partners can absorb and apply creative and effective tourism methods, contributing to promoting the sustainable development of local tourism.

Thanks to the advice of Management Board of Non nuoc Cao Bang Geopark, the family of Ms. Mac Thi Khon, owner of Quang Thuan Homestay, Tay ethnic community tourism village in Khuoi Ky hamlet (Trung Khanh) has invested in upgrading facilities, improving the design of rooms with environmentally friendly materials, and diversifying experiential activities for tourists such as making traditional cakes, weaving handmade straw mattresses, and cultural exchanges with local people... Ms. Khon shared: “As a partner of the Geopark, I am always aware of my responsibility in preserving heritage values ​​and developing sustainable tourism. The visit to the community tourism model in Ha Giang has given me many new ideas in improving the quality of business services. I hope to expand connections with more units to promote the cultural and natural beauty of Cao Bang to a large number of domestic and foreign tourists.”
